MOST fibre optic amplifier retention interface for Porsche Boxster 986 and Porsche 911 996

MOST fibre optic interface to retain the use of the original Bose amplifier in Porsche Boxster (986) and 911 (996) cars when fitting an aftermarket stereo upgrade.

MOST fibre optic interface designed to retain the use of the original fibre optic amplifier in Porsche Boxster or 911 to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade.

The interface connects at the back of the radio, it takes the phono audio output from the new radio and converts it to a digital signal that works with the original fibre optic amplifier. Note, the front to rear fade feature will be lost.

Vehicle compatibility: Boxster (986) with fibre optic amplifier 911 (996) with fibre optic amplifier

This interface includes speed pulse and reverse signal output.

To identify the amplifier, check under the bonnet (front storage) and the amplifier should be visible and look similar to the below image. If the amplifier has the 2 orange cables going into one connector (on the left in the image) then this is a fibre optic connection and will require this interface.
